VIRACLOR is a sanitising solution containing a nominal 5.0% w/v available Chlorine as Sodium Hypochlorite (50,000 ppm) with an in-built detergent system. It is intended as a reliable sanitiser for general use on inanimate surfaces. Most importantly it offers excellent sanitising properties against a significant range of micro-organisms.

The detergent system in VIRACLOR is based on a highly active non-ionic species with fast wetting and excellent soil penetration. The addition of a detergent system decreases the risk of unqualified personnel adding other cleaning products to a chlorine-based sanitiser, a dangerous practice that can either deactivate the sanitiser, or result in the liberation of a toxic gas.

Care should be exercised with blood spills on carpets and other fabrics as Sodium Hypochlorite solution may bleach the fabric.

It is recommended that VIRACLOR should not be used on carpets or other fabrics. Reference should also be made to the National Infection Control Guidelines.

  • Please note that VIRACLOR is not listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG). Whiteley have a full range of surface disinfectants including Viraclean® and Surfex® which have the necessary TGA Registrations if required.
